Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Jadia Saffron sourced from?

Jadia Saffron is sourced directly from premier saffron farms in Herat, Afghanistan, known for producing high-potency, rich-flavor saffron threads.

What does Super Negin grade mean?

Super Negin is the highest commercial grade of saffron. It consists exclusively of long, deep-red thread tips (stigmas) with no yellow or orange style attached, offering maximum color intensity, aroma, and purity.

How can I identify authentic saffron?

Water test: Authentic saffron turns water a vibrant golden-yellow over 10–15 minutes, while the threads remain deep red. Fake saffron releases red dye immediately and loses color.

Smell & Taste: Pure saffron has a distinct sweet/earthy aroma, but a slightly bitter taste.

Texture: Genuine threads are dry, brittle, and do not dissolve in water.

How much saffron is in one jar, and how many dishes will it make?

Each jar contains 2.5 grams of Super Negin saffron. Since a typical recipe uses 10–15 threads (approx. 0.05g), a single jar will make about 40 to 50 dishes (or gallons of tea/beverage).

How should saffron be stored?

Keep it sealed in its airtight glass jar in a cool, dark, and dry place (such as a pantry). Avoid exposure to direct sunlight, heat, and moisture to preserve its aroma and potency.

How long does delivery take?

Domestic UAE orders typically arrive in 1–2 business days. International shipping takes 3–7 business days.

Which countries do you deliver to?

Delivery is available across the UAE, GCC countries, and select international destinations worldwide.
